Running Update

Dear loyal readers,
Do you remember when I wrote the line "I might buy some new sneakers (still using the ol' cross country shoes)" ?? Well it turns out that when you run fairly long distances in 10 year old shoes it's not a great combo. Scratch that. It's a perfect combo...for getting tendinitis. That's right, I've got tendinitis of the ankle, and it is painful and annoying. The only good news is that my injury was a motivator for me to finally buy some new sneakers. I got a pair of new running shoes AND a pair of cross trainers that will be perfect for classes like Turbo Kick and Body Pump. I've paused my workouts for the last week, but in two days I'll start back up again. I understand there is a pool going and people have bet on which day I'll officially quit running. If February 12th was your day, I'm sorry to say, you are not the winner as I am still going strong. (Maybe we could plan something out for later this month and split the winnings...?)
