Today is a great little Sunday. I am currently watching the Eagles first game of the season. We are winning, we look good, and most importantly, we look like we have a lot of potential this year.
I am also googling drills to do with the girls basketball team. That's right, I've signed on to coach the team, and tryouts start this week. I looked up some cuts and screens, but they seemed a little complicated for 7th and 8th graders. Then I called Joe Vernace, the smartest sports guy I know. He explained a simple 2-1-2 zone defense to me, something I hadn't heard since sophomore year of high school.
While talking to my dad, we figured out when I would go home for Thanksgiving and he even has enough miles to get me home for free. Then I thought to myself, "I wonder if Tessa is coming over for Thanksgiving," and just then I received an email from Tessa herself, which made my day. She included these old adorable pictures in the email:
Tessa, are you coming to Thanksgiving???
