Dylan and I flew into the Dulles airport to stay at my sister's apartment in Alexandria, Va for a couple of days. While we were there, we drove up to Maryland to check out the area and see if we might want to live there someday. The Baltimore county school district pays TONS of money for teachers and the cost of living is cheap, so we could essentially be billionaires if we moved there. A slight problem occurred when we visited, however. We HATED it. No, I shouldn't say hate. But yeah, kind of hate.
Baltimore itself might have been okay if it weren't 100 degrees out. Also, there was a pretty trashy lady working at the bar we went to and she was boasting about how she's never left Baltimore and how she hates tourists and also hates people who "don't learn English for godsakes."
We traveled around the rural parts of Baltimore county too, hoping to find a more peaceful area with land that would be cool to have a house on. But we forgot that rural and a little Southern means pick-up trucks and Jesus. No thanks.
Then, we drove down to The Homestead in Virginia to meet up with the rest of my family. This place is crazy. It is filled with some of the whitest people I've ever seen.
There is so much to do here, like horse back riding, a carriage ride, archery, a rifle range, hiking etc. I did all of them. Photos to come.
